Bank is a Regional Rural Bank sponsored by
of State Bank of Patiala. The Bank was
established on 27th Feb 1986 with
Rs 1.00 crore as its capital. The Bank is 100 %
computerised on CBS platform. The Bank is
serving 371 villages of 5 districts of
Punjab with 54 branches. The Bank opened its
first branch at Sangrur on 27.02.1986. It
became 100% computerised on 13.10.2005 and
fully migrated to CBS on 29.07.2010. The
bank has achieved tremendous growth in
business and completed its glorious 25 years
on 27.02.2011. As on 31.03.2011 deposit and
advance of the bank stood at Rs
563.84 crore
and Rs
471.62 crore respectivelly. The bank
has earned a net profit of Rs 9.35 crore
during 2010-11 against Rs
8.86 crore during
2009-10. Its reserves stands at Rs 87.54 as
on 31.03.2011.The bank has surpassed the
target of 30% additional flow of credit to
Agriculture Sector as desired by the Govt.
of India.
